When it comes to leaks, everyone’s different. Most athletic leaks are in the 5–15ml range per instance, which we considered when designing these. They’re ideal for lighter, ongoing leakage or a few athletic leaks during activities like lifting, jumping, or high-impact exercise. If you tend to leak a bit under strain, these are made for you!
However, they may not be suitable for every situation, such as:
- Returning to the gym just after having a baby, when you’re still learning your SUI triggers or limits
- Bench days, since the gusset doesn’t extend up the back (they’re best for standing or seated activities)
- Comp days or maxing out, if you experience heavy leakage, as the volume and speed of leaks may exceed their capacity
If you have any questions, use our live chat or email us at support@fitknicks.com.
Lining: Cotton, Polyester + Breathable TPU
Underwear Main Body: 90% Polyamide + 10% Elastane
Care Guide: Seamless underwear uses ultra‑fine fibres and bonded construction for a smooth, second‑skin finish, so proper care is critical - especially for leakproof styles with bonded gussets. Wash cool (≤30°C) on delicate with gentle, pH‑neutral detergent, ideally in a mesh wash bag. Always air dry (tumble drying is an absolute no‑no) and keep away from direct heat/sunlight. Never use fabric softeners, bleach, or dryer sheets, and don’t iron or dry clean. Full care instructions can be found here.

All FAQsCan you wear leakproof underwear for exercise?
Yes, that's exactly what they're made for! They're designed for the light leaks that can happen during heavy lifts, jumps, skipping, running and HIIT.
How much can they hold?
Light leaks of about 20 to 25ml in total, which covers the light stress incontinence typical in lifting. They're not designed for heavy or sustained leaks, and shouldn't be worn with liners or pads.
Are they suitable for heavier leaks or competitions?
Sadly not right now. Our current styles are made for light SUI. If you need more absorbency, we'd suggest a different product for now, but (exciting news) we're working on a higher absorbency version.
Briefs or Cheekini 2.0?
Same protection, fabric and price. Briefs give full coverage at the back, and Cheekini 2.0 is a cheekier cut. Can't decide? The Leakproof Duo gives you one of each.
Can I wear them on my period?
FitKnicks are designed for gym performance and light SUI, not menstrual flow. We designed them with SUI in mind, so they haven't been tested for periods.
Can I wear them every day?
They're best for training and active days right now (and we're working on a daily wear line). If you do wear them day to day, change promptly if they're damp and follow the care guide.
Are they okay postpartum?
They can be, but we'd err on the side of caution straight after birth, as it really depends on your body and your recovery. They're suitable for light leaks of about 20 to 25ml and don't offer any compression. If you have any concerns, we'd recommend chatting to a pelvic health physio first.
What size should I get?
Use our size guide and measure yourself, as "true to size" varies a lot between Australian underwear brands. Both styles are quite stretchy, but Briefs are full coverage and every bum is shaped differently, so if you're unsure, size up.
Will they show under my leggings?
They're designed to minimise VPL and butt bulge. Very thin or sheer leggings may still show a little texture.
Are they camel-toe proof?
No, we didn't design them specifically for this. The leakproof gusset may help a little, but if you're prone to it these may not be the right product.
Can I tumble dry them?
Please don't! Air dry only, away from heat. Tumble drying damages the bonding and elastics. They're lightweight and moisture-wicking, so they dry fairly quickly on their own.
Can I return or exchange them if I change my mind?
Yes, unopened pairs can be returned or exchanged within 14 days under our change of mind policy. You'll just need to cover the return postage, and for exchanges we'll send out your new pair at no extra cost.
